Last year I did my best to get around the road blocks and finished the race as fast as I could. As a result I felt that I missed out on some of the more interesting "sceneries". Sooooo....my goal this year was to take it easy, have fun and soak it in. Since my mom was staying with us, Russ came with me to check out the actions and act as my body guard.
It took me a while to figure out what costume I wanted to wear. I did not want anything that would make running uncomfortable; and I wanted to look good/cute/hot/sexy without completely losing my dignity in case one of my kid's classmate's parents were to see me. After all I'm now an officer (glorified typewriter with opinions) of one of several boards at our school. Hmm, definitely don't want anything that can come back to bite me in the butt.
So.......
Don't mind if I say so: I looked hot! As a matter of fact I suspect it had something to do with Russ's decision to come to the event with me (Hee hee hee). Believe me, it is very tamed compared to what's normally seen at Bay to Breakers. If you don't believe me, just keep reading...
Anywho....since I allowed myself to stop and go as I pleased, I managed to snap a few photos that are quintessential Bay to Breakers.
And finally...THE MEDAL!!!!! *like* *like* *like*
I'm not sure if any future Bay to Breakers can top this year's for me so I may not run it again for a while. Unless Russ decides to do the race with me then I'd definitely have to say Yes!
