Someone once said to me that running is one of the cheapest sports out there; the only expense being the shoes. I don't know what planet he lives on but on my planet there's the $60 mp3 player, the $300 GPS watch, the I'm-too-ashamed-to-admit-how-much-I've-spent running clothes, the race entry fees and then finally the $100+ running shoes, which apparently I need a new pair every 2-3 months. Running shoes are suppose to last around 400-500 miles but I've managed to wear out the left heel of my Nike Lunar Glide completely in less than 200 miles. I'm starting to wonder if I'm running funny.
My Half marathon is taking place in a month. I'll be running about 100 miles this month so there is no way I can run in these shoes at the race. That means I'll need to get to a running store within the next two weeks so I'll have time to break in a new pair. I'm thinking of giving the Asics shoes a try. Hmm, this should be fun if only I can find the time!
In other news: my two months old HP computer died on me (*groan*), I got a 4.0 GPA in my last quarter (*yay!*), and I'm still jetlagged (*snore*).
